Write for us

We welcome considered pitches about amateur sport participation and the choices around it. Send proposals through the Contact page; a concise outline is more useful than a complete unsolicited draft.

What fits

Pitches may explain a participation choice, compare two ways of organising practice, clarify a club custom, or examine how people make space for sport. Keep the focus specific and useful to a general reader. We are not looking for promotional copy, unsupported performance promises or articles that require readers to follow safety-critical instructions.

What to include

Tell us the proposed subject, the reader question it answers, the central idea and why it is distinct from existing coverage. Note any specialist claims or local rules the piece would depend on, and explain how you would handle them. Do not send confidential information or material you do not have permission to share.

How to propose it

Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option, then identify your message as a contribution pitch. Include a short description of the proposed piece. We cannot promise publication or a response by a particular date.
