Active Athlete Journal aims to make the choices around amateur sport understandable and fair. We write for readers making their own decisions, not to sell a particular club, product or path into sport.

Accuracy and clarity

We check claims against information available to us, explain terms when they may be unfamiliar, and avoid presenting assumptions as settled facts. Our articles are general editorial material, not individual professional advice. If a subject depends on local requirements or expert assessment, we say so rather than guessing.

Independence and labels

Editorial decisions are made separately from partnership proposals. Any paid, sponsored or partner material will be clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage or influence our conclusions.

Corrections

If you spot an error or an unclear statement, use the Contact page and identify the article and detail in question. We review correction requests and amend material when warranted; significant changes should be made clear to readers.

Some illustrations may be generated with AI. Illustrations are not evidence of a real sporting event, person or place, and we do not use them to imply that an event was documented.
